Port Monmouth, NJ (PRWEB) June 18, 2013
Earlier this year, Google announced the new ‘enhanced campaign’ structure for the AdWords advertising platform. As this directly impacts the core component of the product, the campaign, many consider this to be the one of the most sweeping updates since its inception in October of 2000. The team at Core and More Technologies recently posted a very informative article on the subject..
Google did not initially set a ‘must-have’ upgrade date for enhanced campaigns. Only recently, a date of July 22, 2013 was publicly announced as the date from which all legacy campaigns would be forcibly updated to the new structure. Those who do not upgrade their campaigns in advance of that date will run the risk of the migration occurring automatically, and with default settings applied. So far, more than 3 million legacy campaigns have already been upgraded.
On June 12, Google released an official ‘what happens on July 22, 2013’ blog post. This is a great resource for both advertisers and agencies alike. In this article, the possible impact of the various changes that will be applied to legacy campaigns is very clearly spelled out. When weighing options in advance of an enhanced campaign migration, companies should demand that the agency handling this all-important transition is highly qualified and comes with a track record of proven success.
Core and More Technologies is a Google AdWords Certified Partner. Their staff is comprised in part of highly skilled individuals who do only one thing – Google AdWords – and hence they do it extremely well. As a matter of fact, they have already completed the successful migration of their entire customer base.
“In the world of online advertising, more relevance translates to better results”, said Andrew Young, President and CEO of Core and More Technologies. “The term ‘relevance’ is not one-dimensional”, Young continued, “It is a combined, concentrated and integrated message that is nurtured and revised as consumers traverse through their purchasing process. Enhanced campaigns will enable us to further refine the goal of placing advertisements in just the right place, at just the right time and with just the right message – leveraging the latest, most cutting-edge technology for multi-device targeting, more efficient bidding, and highly accurate contextual messaging.”
Display advertising through the Google Display Network enables advertisers to reach 92% of internet users in the U.S. today. When combined with enhanced campaigns, advertising content can be closely aligned with tens of millions of internet users who have already expressed an interest in the products or services being promoted. Typically, the display network enables advertisers to reach consumers early on in the procurement process. This is nothing new. However, with enhanced campaigns it is now possible to specifically target users across multiple devices and to assign a priority on one device over another. If this concept is applied correctly and within a well integrated strategy that combines display and search advertising, we may well be talking about the most powerful marketing tool in history.
