In the last two years, the digital landscape has changed dramatically. The rise of AI along with the introduction of new platforms has led to an overall reshaping of the industry that is still in its infancy. There have been many other twists and turns throughout the years, but this is perhaps the most significant shift that we have seen. AI-powered search engines such as Perplexity.ai and SearchGPT coupled with AI chatbots, the rise of social media used as a primary search engine among upwards of 40% of Gen Zers, the continuing rollout of Google’s SGE, the concept of search EVERYWHERE optimization and the rise of UGC-centric sites like Reddit – dominating the Google SERP’s – and so much else – makes this the most exciting time in the history of our company. And, to some extend, the most challenging. Every day brings new announcements and platforms, as well as new opportunities. We love what we do, and so it is to some extent like a global candy store — however if you take your eye off the ball for a moment you can and likely will get hit with a fastball, right between the eyes!
